Madrid, 04 March 2020. Delaviuda Alimentación, a company belonging to Delaviuda Confectionery Group, a leading company in the sector of nougats, bars and confectionery, has received the Certificate of Accession to the Luxembourg Declaration and becomes the first company in the confectionery sector to adhere to this declaration. The title is a consensus document issued by the European Network for the Promotion of Health at Work (ENWHP), which sets out the basic principles of action and the reference framework for good management of workers’ health in the company.

This recognition highlights Delaviuda Alimentación commitment to accept and implement the basic objectives of promoting health at work and to guide its strategies towards the principles of it. All this implies compliance with the regulations of prevention of occupational risks and the commitment from the Management to maintain lines of action according to the needs of workers.

Over the past few years Delaviuda has carried out various actions aimed at promoting healthy habits on and off the job. Its commitment to the health of the people who make it is based on four pillars: awareness-raising, physical activity, prevention, the environment and healthy eating.

In this sense, the company has projects such as “Building a Healthier World” or “Building a More Sustainable World” in which, through the dissemination of information pills, each month informs its collaborators about risks that can affect their health, as well as offers tips to combat them and take into account the care of our environment.

In addition, among the initiatives carried out during 2019 are the Second Olympics DCG that for several days gathered more than 70 professionals of the company in different leisure and sport activities with the aim of promoting physical activity and the abandonment of sedentary lifestyle among its collaborators; or the Day of Prevention of Occupational Risks, Environment and Zumba, organized within the framework of World Environment Day, with different activities and workshops aimed at raising awareness of the importance of health care among employees and their families, with training on first aid, zumba, or dynamics on waste management, recycling and planting of different species.

In relation to the promotion of healthy eating habits, the company has established distribution points for fresh fruit and healthy bars in the workplaces
